Arthur and Jade's Story 1
Days Out
Robbie and Tyrone both have their own HyperJar card. When the four of them go on a day out, Jade or Arthur links the Kids cards to the Days Out Jar. So. if the lads want an ice cream, they pay for it, and Mum or Dad can show them how much it cost, how much money is left. The boys love having the cards, it makes them feel properly grown up.
Jade also manages the two boys’ pocket money separately. She has a Jar with Robbie and a separate one for Tyrone. They might be twins but they do have separate lives.
Arthur and Jade's Story 2
Kano
The boys are both tech-mad and Arthur thinks they might get into coding. It’s a really cool hobby and maybe even one day a job. He and Jade are buying HMoney with Kano that they’ll use to get the boys gift for Xmas.

Peter and Sam's Story 1
Logan's Top Ups
Logan’s living in Leeds in a shared house with other students. He gets his grant, and his student loan, but Peter and Sam give him a bit of extra support. He’s vegan, and they sent him some HMoney for Grubby to make sure he’s eating well. Plus as the money is locked in, they have the peace of mind that he’s not just going to spend it at the student bar.
Peter and Sam's Story 2
Molly
They have money for Molly to spend on her card – general pocket money, plus iPad and Xbox. It means she’s starting to learn about what things cost, and getting more autonomy, but the spending notifications let them know what she’s buying, and where. It’s a great balance for a young teenager.
Peter and Sam's Story 3
Molly's Uni Jar
This is a longer term one for Peter and Sam: saving up for when Molly hopefully follows in her brother’s foot-steps and goes to university. She’s very creative and already obsessed with graphic design. They know from Logan’s time at Leeds that it costs a lot these days. They’re putting a small amount each month aside, but in a few years from now it’ll add up. They show Molly the Jar now and again to motivate her.

Rick and Charlie's Story 1
Grand-kids and Rockabilly
Rick and Charlie have four lovely grandkids that they like to treat now and again. They have a shared Jar for each of Frankie, Barry, Belle and Charlotte. The youngest Frankie is only 7 while Charlotte is pretty much an adult now – so the money goes on everything from Lego to gig tickets.
Rick and Charlie also have a jar for their big passion: rockabilly music and clothes. They’ve loved it all their lives and still get out to gigs when they get. Plus keeping the look!
Rick and Charlie's Story 2
Biking and Whale watching
Rick loves bikes – Ducati – and he has his own jar for it. Maintenance, trips, and the occasional bit of kit. He’s been riding for over 50 years.
Charlie and he have always dreamt of going whale watching. The last 12 months have really focussed their minds: don’t wait forever to do the things you want. So they’ve set up a jar to fund a holiday in Vancouver next summer.

Bess's Story 1
Coffee time for Jack
Bess’s two lads Jack and Ethan are 12 and 5. They love each other really but don’t half fight a lot. Ethan’s always hanging around Jack, who’s growing up fast and doesn’t want his little brother with him all the time. Bess has been using HyperJar mainly to plan her grocery spend, and she recently got Jack his own Kids card. He loves it – just makes him feel more like a grown-up. One of his favourite things to do is stop off in Costa with his mates on the way back from school and buy himself a latte with his card. Bess can see where he’s spending and how much, so Jack gets some independence without disappearing out of sight.
Bess's Story 2
Days Out
Bess has a Jar for trips to the seaside, family lunches, the cinema, and the occasional bigger expense like Alton Towers. She and her partner Alan top it up every month. Sometimes she’ll link Jack’s card to the Jar when they’re all out together so he can feel cool paying for the tickets. She shows him the app after he’s paid so he’s learning that money doesn’t just grow on trees!

Bess's Story 3
Not On the High Street
Bess loves this place – a treasure trove for gifts or nice stuff for herself. She allocates £25 a month to them. Anything that she doesn’t use up by December will go on Christmas presents, so it’s a no-brainer. And she’s making nearly 5% on anything she commits.
