Is there a HyperJar kids' app as well as an adult's card?

There’s just one HyperJar app - the version kids download is the same as the adult’s (with a few little tweaks). When kids with their own phone get the app on their device, they’ll be asked to link it to their adult’s account during the sign-up process.

Do kids have their own HyperJar account?

HyperJar Kids Cards are always ‘paired’ to an adult or parent account. So kids don’t have their own account (it’s their mum or dad’s) but they do have their own card. Any child with their own phone and number can download the app on their device - they’ll be asked to link it to their adult’s account during the sign-up process.

Can kids get cash out of an ATM with their HyperJar Kids Card?

No, we don’t allow cash withdrawals with HyperJar cards.

Can kids contact HyperJar customer support?

Kids should ask their mum or dad to contact our customer support team via Live Chat or email mailto:support@hyperjar.com if they have a question or problem with their cards.

Can kids use their cards abroad?

Yes! There are zero fees added to any spend abroad when paying with the kids or adult HyperJar cards.

Is there a charge for transferring money on to a HyperJar Kids Card?

There are no fees for transferring money into a HyperJar account - you can move money in as often as you like. Once it lands in the adult’s account, it can be moved into the Jars they share with their kids manually or via scheduled, regular payments (eg the 1st of every month, or every Monday).
